Registration

The registration process for the 2017 conference will be opened on the 1st of December and will take place through mymun.net. Below, you will find more detailed instructions.

Basics

  1. After opening the PORGMUN site (https://mun.events/porgmun-2017/apply) on the MyMUN (www.mymun.net) webpage, on the left side of the page, there is an “apply now” button. Click on it in order to proceed into the first phase of your registration.
  2. A table with our Terms and Conditions will appear in front of you. Read it and accept before you continue to the next step.
  3. There are now two options in front of you: the single “Delegate” or the “Found Delegation” option (you may join your Delegation by accepting an Invitation from Your Head Delegate or Faculty Advisor - please refer to them for the invitation). If a Delegation for your school hasn’t been founded yet, click on “Found Delegation” and follow the instructions below.

Found delegation

  1. “Which society do you represent?” - You should answer the name of the school your delegation comes from or an organisation that your delegation is a part of.
  2. “What's your role in the Delegation?”
    1. If you are a delegate and therefore a member of a delegation, you should answer that you are the “Head Delegate”. You will be then the contact person for your delegation and we will reach out to you should we have any questions regarding your delegation. As a delegate, you will have to pay the application fee of 30 euro (25 euro during the Early Bird period) and create your own separate application (see steps for Delegate) after you finish founding your delegation.
    2. If you are a teacher / a supervisor / a faculty advisor of your delegation, you should answer that you are the “Faculty Advisor”. As such, you will not be required to pay an application fee, however, should there be any other teachers / supervisors / faculty advisors in your delegation, they will have to pay the standard application fee of 30 euro (25 euro during the Early Bird period). You will be the contact person for your delegation and we will reach out to you should we have any questions regarding your delegation. To get more tips and tricks on how to supervise your delegation, you may have a look at our Supervisor Guide.
  3. “What's your estimate size?” - Answer with the number of delegates your delegation is going to amount.
  4. “Application Questions for Delegations - Do you need visas?” - The PORGMUN Team is more than willing to prepare an invitation letter for your school, the Ministry of Education of your country or for the Czech embassy situated in your country. Answer “Yes” to this question if you need an invitation letter. We will then contact you by e-mail to sort out all the details.

Delegate

  1. Motivation letter - Delegates who wish to be placed into one of our expert committees (Security Council, Historical Security Council, International Court of Justice) are required to write a thorough motivation letter. Delegates who would like to be placed into a normal committee are also required to write a motivation letter, however, it does not have to be as in-depth. Please bear in mind that if there is a queue for any specific country or committee, the Head of Registration is bound to take into account those delegates who show more passion and dedication towards their choice in their motivation letters. However, hopefully few queues will form during the registration process as our Registration managers are usually very quick in accepting the individual applications.
